As a company and brand it is important that you market yourself correctly to gain the best exposure and attraction towards your brand. In this blog we will go through different components of branding to help you improve your branding skills for your company. Logo

Having a good and effective logo is very key to being successful as a brand and gaining attention. When we look at a brand the logo is the first thing that jumps out at us as well as what we remember. For example, think of any big company in the world whether it be McDonald's or Disney, what we think of is the logo. Having a general colour scheme and brand tone is important and can be represented within the logo itself. You need to figure out what vibe you want to give off from your logo and how it reflects your brand. For example, if you run a cake shop it might be ideal to have a colourful and fun logo. As you can see below we have gone for quite a bold theme with our logo using black and white. This theme is also the same for our website giving it a professional look.

Brand Name

Alongside a logo, a strong brand name is probably the most important part of your brand design. It is significant that you have the right brand name for your company and you will know when you have found the perfect one. Having a catchy, cool brand name is what you need to focus on here otherwise if you have a boring, bland name your company is never going to stand out amongst the crowd. If you are going for a catchy brand name using alliteration can be a great idea when coming up with yours. Try to think of something that will gain someone's attention while keeping it professional at the same time. Something that includes the area you are based in will obviously stick out to people within that area for example.


Target Audience

For your company to be successful you absolutely need to be thinking about your consumers. Putting effort into your target audience is very healthy for your company and will improve your brand massively. Looking at who will be interested in your company and reaching out to them is a great start. You can do this via social media groups for example local area groups with people in who could benefit from your service. You can find these groups on platforms such as Facebook.


The age of your target audience is also an important factor to how you market your brand. For example, if your target audience is people 65+ you might want to look at getting your brand promoted in the newspaper or on the local radio. However, if your brand is aimed at the younger audience perhaps 18-25, then growing on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok should be your main aim
